Free Scrub Recipe and Last Chance for Packets

Merry Christmas!  In the spirit of the season, we are offering one of our most popular holiday recipes for free here on this post until January 1st, 2016.  This is super easy and simple to make and can easily be thrown together for great last minute gifts.

Gingerbread Body Scrub

1 cup Fine Grain Dead Sea Salts or Brown Sugar
¼ cup Safflower (or other oil of your choice)
2 T Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp Ground Cloves
½ tsp Ground Ginger
½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
1 tsp Phenonip (optional preservative)

Mix salt and spices together. Mix phenonip with oil if using. Slowly add oil to the salt/spice mixture until desired consistency is reached. For a drier mix, add less oil, and for a wetter mix add a little more oil. Scoop into an airtight jar. Use within a month if not using a preservative.

To use, simply rub the body scrub over the section you want to exfoliate and rinse off. Use a washcloth or soft nail brush if desired. Remember, never use a salt scrub on a freshly shaved patch of skin. Also, keep your scrub away from sensitive areas including your face. Follow up with a good moisturizing lotion to give your skin an extra softening boost.

Recipe Variation: For a more traditional body scrub, leave out the spices, and add 8-10 drops of a fragrance oil of your choice to the Safflower Oil before mixing it with the dead sea salts.
