Soy Candles Supplies
Soy candles are a great alternative to traditional paraffin and beeswax candles. They are cleaner burning, and more environmentally friendly than paraffin, and easier to work with than beeswax. They also burn at a lower temperature, so they are safer to have around children and small pets. This class is a basic introduction to how to make candles, with a focus on just soy wax.

Candle Colorants
These colorants are approved for use in candlemaking ONLY. They are not skin safe, and can stain the skin. They are highly concentrated, and safe for use in soy, vegetable, paraffin, beeswax, and other candle waxes.

Candle Tarts are the newest rage among candle makers. "Burning" wax tarts in a tart melter allows you get to all the scent of a candle without the hassle of wicking or open flames. We teach students how to make wax tarts in our beginning Soy Candle class.

Colorants
Our colorants are cosmetic-grade and safe to use on skin, which makes them perfect for your soap, lotions, spa, or other bath and body products. Not suitable for candle use. To see our available candle colorants, please view this post.
We offer two type of colors: Liquid gel colors or powdered micas and pigments. Both types of color can be used interchangeably, but liquid colors tend to be easier to use in soap, lotions, and body products, where powdered colorants work excellently in cold process soap, bath fizzies, bath salts, and other "powdery" projects.
If you are using these colors in cold/hot process soap, you should know that not all colors are colorfast in high pH, meaning they can morph/change/fade in your soaping projects. If you are unsure whether a particular choice is color stable in cold/hot process soap, please let us know.
**Our color selection is constantly shifting and changing. Although we try to keep this post updated, it is possible we may not have the color you are seeking currently in stock. Please contact us if you don't see the color you are wanting here.
